What is NovaSure?
NovaSure is a quick, safe, and effective endometrial ablation procedure that destroys and/or removes your uterine lining (the endometrium). The goal is to reduce, or in some cases stop heavy menstrual bleeding. NovaSure is only suitable for women who no longer wish to have children.

What can I expect during my NovaSure procedure?
Dr. Jones gives you plenty of information so you know what to expect during your NovaSure procedure. On the day of your procedure, Dr. Jones slightly opens your cervix and places a flexible, thin wand and a netting device into your uterus.
The netting swells to fit the size and shape of your uterus. Safe and controlled radiofrequency energy passes through the netting for around 90 seconds. Dr. Jones then carefully guides the device back into the wand and gently removes it from your uterus.
